Mr. Leather Cowboy 2003

Mr. Leather Cowboy title and contest come from the same place in the Leather community as did the image of the outlaw biker. Mr. Leather Cowboy is a effort to embody the spirit of the Wild West as well as acknowledge the "inner spirit" and self-realizing independent nature of Leather.

This year we had to re-run the contest, due to our original winner being called away by work. On our contest, we had 5 contestants, all of which we would be proud to represent us to the world. Each man brought with them their own perspective and vision. Not to mention that they all were damned good looking!

Our judges for this contest also were excellent representatives from our leather community and rodeo community. They all have distinguished community service credentials and did a fine job at working with our contestants to prepare them in question and answer sessions, to best express the combination of Leather and Cowboy.

Our winner, Mr. Gordon Hitchcock, will represent Diamond Jim's Saloon and the Greater Leather Community at International Mr. Leather 2003. This year marks the 25th anniversary for IML and we are very proud to have Mr. Hitchcock represent our community in Chicago Memorial Day weekend. Good Luck Gordon!
