  • Must be a resident of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio or Ontario.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the contest.

  • Must Attend (with sash) Do-A-Fool (April), Motor City Pride Detroit (June), ICON Anniversary (November), Wall-2-Wall Fur Bear Conclave (March) and Leather Weekend of Caring (April). Should make plans to attend as many rodeos as feasible and practical.

  • Contestant must attend International Mr. Leather Contest (Memorial Day Weekend, Chicago following year)

  • Contestants are NOT required to compete in any further contest venues. If they choose to do so it is solely at their own discretion.

  • Contestants must be in attendance at the D.A.R.K. Weekend “Meet and Greet”, and application is due no later than the “Meet and Greet”.

  • The primary responsibility of Mr. Leather Cowboy is to represent Diamond Jim's Saloon, and Detroit & Michigan's Leather/BDSM/Levi/Fetish community.

  • Mr. Leather Cowboy must be legally identified as male/ Ms. Leather Cowgirl must be legally identified as female.

  • Contestant entry is $20, non-refundable. The contest will be judged on Poise, Presentation, Showmanship and Spoken. The contest will begin at 10:00pm on the night of the contest. Entry forms and rules will be at Diamond Jim's Saloon or available on the website at www.diamondjimssaloon.com.

  • Contestant must agree to follow all competition rules and regulations regarding the Mr. Leather Cowboy Competition and International Mr. Leather Rules and Regulations.

  • This title is a "working position", and on occasion, may be called upon to participate in events representing the title.

  • The title is property of Diamond Jim's Saloon. Contestant entry is $20, non-refundable. Contestants should be at Diamond Jim's Saloon by 9:00pm on the night of the contest. The contest will be judged on Poise, Presentation, Showmanship and Spoken. The contest will begin at 10:00pm on the night of the contest.

  • In the event that the contestant is unable to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the title, the alternate for the title will be given the title, and the winner will relinquish all properties, claims and prizes that came with the title to the contest organizers within 30 days.

    Diamond Jim's Saloon will provide transportation to and from Chicago for the Contest, hotel accommodations, and entry into the International Mr. Leather Competition. The contestant at International Mr. Leather Contest is considered a representative of Diamond Jim's Saloon, and should conduct themselves as such. Diamond Jim's Saloon retains all rights to the title of Mr. Leather Cowboy.
