Wall-2-Wall Fur Bear Conclave

March 5 - 7, 2010

(First Weekend of March annually)

 
This event seems to have taken on a life of it's own, with the cooperation of so many guys and clubs. The various bear groups, all of which are no more than 2 hours from Detroit. This is the continuing effort of the bear community working together in our area. Each group added something to the weekend and by that effort act as emissaries to the rest of the community. We get a massive turnout and everyone seems to have a good time. We have an additional sponsor for the event from Bear Party Magazine, who are sending a couple of things for raffle. Say thanks to them by patronizing some of their advertisers.

During the weekend there is food, DJ  will be spinning the music (combo "Classic House and a 'Rub and Grind' Dance" ) and lots and lots of Bears and "bear-types". Some of the most friendly guys and all down to meet. We've listed a number of  hotels in the area (less than $20 cab ride in most cases), for those who may party a bit more than a little. (This is not a comprehensive list and may change from time to time.) We have a lot of independent bears down as well. Some from the "thumb area" of Michigan, from as far as Indianapolis, to Minneapolis and Columbus.

Charities for 2009 are The Ruth Ellis Center and C.O.T.S. (Coallition on Temporary Shelter). These are two charities that support many in this time of struggle in our community.

 

So many guys kept asking, so we are going to do another F2WFB (fall) the third weekend of September. So put it on your calendar and come on down during pride month and get an armload of "fur"!
